Make Pictures SmallerBy Clint PollardAt some point you will probably need to know how to resize pictures. Most of the time you will need to make pictures smaller but I an going to show you a free tool you can use to make your pictures smaller or larger and I will also show you how to use it. The tool I'm talking about is called IrfanView and you can download it at http://www.irfanview.com/ After you download and open IrfanView you will see file, edit, image, options, view, and help at the top of the IrfenView screen. Click file then open, find the picture in your files you want to resize, then click open in that box and the picture should show in the IrfanView screen. Next go back to the top of the IrfanView screen and click on "image", in the pop up box click on "resize/resample" look for "set new size as percentage of original", make sure "Preserve aspect ratio" is clicked, you want to re-size your pictue using this so that the picture will not look distorted, click ok and your picture will be resized. Click on "file" at the top of your screen and then save your file. Now you can upload your picture to any site you want or send them in an email without the file being too large to send .
