How To Play Better GolfBy Clint PollardIf you want to play better golf you need to get better at all parts of the game. Becoming a better putter would improve your game the most, and there are a few things you need to know to become a better putter, but really if you want to putt better it is just a matter of practicing. What I think holds most golfers back from improving on their golf game is they are too far away from the green after they hit their drive off the tee. Of course if you want to keep the ball in the fairway you need to practice driving the ball, but what about the distance the ball travels, that is what this article is about. The closer you are to the green after teeing off the better your golf score will be and hitting a longer tee ball is nothing more than club head speed. If you are already a good golfer, but you just need a little more distance this is all you need to do, take a club and take your normal swing, try and be aware of the speed of the club as you take your swing. Now I want you to take another swing, but this time as you bring your club back make sure and cock your wrist, on the down swing as the club comes close to the ground I want you to break your wrist very quickly. Most of your club head speed will take place as you break your wrist. Did you notice an increase in speed from your second swing? If you did you now know how to play better golf.
